Primary Students of Wise International School - Sri Lanka recently got connected with the Junior School students of Kumamoto Language School in Kyushu, Japan and had a cross language interchange with these wonderful students via Skype in the classroom. Our students were able to converse in Japanese with the partnering school and were able to impress all of them through our Japanese language skills. We too were able to teach them some Sinhalese and Tamil words through this conversation. A special thanks goes to Prof. Huy Tran, tri-language specialist ( Japanese, English & Vietnamese ) and his wife, Ms Iko who is also a teacher at this school for initiating this long term cultural exchangement project. Senior Students of Wise International School - Sri Lanka recently got connected with the High School students of Kumamoto High School in Kyushu, Japan and had a cross language interchange with these wonderful students through Skype messages and later had the opportunity to speak with Prof. Tran, tri-language specialist ( Japanese, English & Vietnamese ) and his wife, Ms Iko who is also a teacher at the high school and their beautiful daughter. Our students were able to converse in fluent Japanese with the partnering school and were able to impress all of them through our Japanese language skills. Students of Wise International School - Sri Lanka got the unique opportunity to get connected with the educator experts of the Busch Gardens Tampa Bay, in Florida, US, to witness live the Cheetah Survival Series Project, and get a broader understanding on what makes the Cheetah, undoubtedly the fastest animal on land. Vivid scientific questions were raised on various factors about these magnificent beasts and our students received excellent responses. A Good Skype session all around, and both sides tended to impress each other. The Annual Educational School Trip - 2017 ( 04.10.2017 ) this year embarked on the quest for education towards the Central Hills of Sri Lanka. On a long list of places visited, the first on our list being the historical city of Kandy, and its most iconic sacred Buddhist shrine, Sri Dalada Maligawa, Kandy. Our students got the opportunity to witness the traditional and cultural heritage of Kandy, and we too visited the National Museum of Kandy to learn further on this monument’s historical significance.

Wise International School - Sri Lanka now officially becomes the first ever School in Sri Lankan Educational History to have ever got connected with the NASA Johnson Space Center, Houston, Texas. Being lectured under, Prof. Jim Adams, who served as the Deputy Chief Technologist at NASA in the Office of the Chief Technologist (OCT) from 2012 until retiring from NASA in 2016, Our Senior Students got the opportunity of a life to witness what was it like inside the International Space Station. Complex questions were raised by our students, on various aspects of Astronomy, Rocket Science, Engineering, Life on Mars and so on, which were highly appreciated by Dr. Adams. He assisted our students by summarizing all the difficult concepts of various Astronomical Sciences into easily, understandable materials. The Catholic Students of Wise International School , led by Fr. Felician Ferdinando, set forth on a Spiritual Journey to meditate, concentrate, pray and participate in the Way of the Cross. Lent is a time when Christians separate from the world; when we find out our faith is not just a feel-good, self-help religion but one that answers the deepest questions of life and eternity. The Secondary Students got the opportunity to ask questions based on " Plant Biodiversity & Structure of Cells ( Both Flora & Fauna ) ". Dr. Innocent Jayawardene, Veteran Scientist, Former Senior Lecturer at the University of Ottawa - L’Université d’Ottawa in order to take part in this Glorious Event.

International Collaboration Projects have reached a new tier of educational standard, using Modern Equipment and Technology, it has made Children living anywhere, in any part of the world, to come under one platform and display their unique abilities into the International Arena. Using Skype in the classroom Technology, This 2nd Consecutive International Project was accomplished by the students of the Secondary Section of Wise International School - Sri Lanka, in order to enhance the foreign partnerships with the international world and give the Students of WISE to display their talents amidst Foreign Students.

For the 2nd Consecutive Time, Wise International School - Sri Lanka joins hand in hands with Jay International School, Rajkot Gujarat, India, via the Skype in the classroom where the students of WISE got the opportunity to express themselves in front of the International Arena. Students of Both the Schools got the opportunity to discover their unique artistic abilities via the assigned task of writing " Creative Stories " and It was truly a tremendous success. WISIANS wrote under the influence of 5 Global Writers and 5 Sri Lankan Writers, where the perfect background was set for our students to give away the unique indigenous writing styles of our Classical Writers to the International World. The Annual Educational School Trip - 2016 ( 23.09.2016 ) to our final destination Galle, the fourth educational site being the Maritime Museum of Galle, is where the students of Wise International, was nurtured with the knowledge about the Maritime Area Rule of the foreign Invasions and their trade activities. Galle being the south Asian hub of the trading world, it was truly a place that held high esteem among the Invaders. Students of Wise International School - Sri Lanka were taught the validity of the ancient artifacts that were there at the Maritime Museum at Beautiful Galle city.

The Annual Educational School Trip - 2016 ( 23.09.2016 ) to our final destination Galle can be truly called " The Best So Far " One of the Most Unforgettable, thrilling , Educational trips that the students of Wise International School - Sri Lanka has ever experienced. A Student of Wise International School - Sri Lanka, Pivithu Senpura ( Grade 10 ) has become the third overall Sri Lankan to win a Bronze Award at The Queen's Commonwealth Essay Competition 2016, organized by the Royal Commonwealth Society and the Cambridge University Press Education. #WE_MAKE_THE_ORDINARY_INTO_EXTRA_ORDINARY! Students of Wise International School - Kandana have done it again! 11 Students of our School, ( Currently aged 10 - 14 ) have broken the Sri Lankan Record of facing the Grade 6 Written English Examination, affiliated with the STSD U.K., of whom have recommended the age limit of 17 years and under.The Specialty is that all these achievements were received only from the backing of our School. Under the religious guidance of the Rev. Fr. Felician, we have now commenced a religious Counseling Session, for the pupils of our School, to help the children grow spiritually in the divine mercy of the Holy Father. Today's Reading of the Gospel :

@Matthew 24:14 "The Family that eats together, Stays together " was the theme of preaching for the students' & Staff Assembly. Rev. Father too high lightened the following saying and in-scripted it into the hearts of the students. This Session can be considered truly a Success. The soul aim of these counseling sessions would be to create the religious atmosphere and for the students to be nurtured by the visionary advice of the ordained clergy.

JWise International School today has truly marked our Alma Mater's name in the History Books of Sri Lanka, as we have completed successfully, One of Sri Lanka's Pioneering Online Collaboration Projects among two international schools, in two different parts of the world.
